Welcome to Cardiff Connect, an initiative of CommunityOne. Let us take just a minute to tell you about Cardiff Connect and what you can expect to find on the site.

First, Cardiff Connect is about taking you, organisations, and ideas and generating positive change in Cardiff and across South Wales. We believe there are good organisations and groups doing great things in Cardiff. But many people, both here and abroad, don’t know about them and how they can help. That’s where Cardiff Connect comes in. We’ll be promoting groups that we know about giving you the opportunity to join in.

Secondly, we believe there are a lot of you with great ideas about how to help others in Cardiff. You might not have an outlet for those ideas, or know how to get others involved in helping you out with those ideas. That’s where Cardiff Connect comes in. We’ll take your idea, with your permission, turn it into an article here on Cardiff Connect, giving you full credit, and then ask others to get involved.

And lastly, we want to celebrate the great things we see happening in Cardiff. So when we’re made aware of something that’s making a difference we’ll write about it, letting you know about it, and how you can get involved.

Here’s how you can get started:

• if you know about about a group/organisation/individual that’s doing good things in Cardiff, let us know about it by filling out a short form. We’ll take the information and promote the group here at Cardiff Connect.
• if you have an idea, but don’t know how to get it to the masses, fill out this short form. We’ll contact you to get a few more details, then we’ll post it online here at Cardiff Connect and see what comes from it.
